Payment reconciliation
What is payment reconciliation?
Payment reconciliation is the process of matching incoming payments with corresponding invoices, orders, or transactions to ensure that financial records are accurate and complete.
Payment reconciliation in eCommerce
In eCommerce, payment reconciliation is crucial to ensure that customer payments align with order data and accounting systems. It reduces errors, prevents fraud, and supports smooth order release and reporting. While everstox does not process payments directly, our platform integrates with ERP and shop systems to sync fulfillment data with payment status – enabling reliable downstream reconciliation and delivery logic.
Example for payment reconciliation
A customer pays via credit card. The payment is recorded in the shop system and reconciled with the order ID. Only after successful match, the fulfillment process is triggered via the everstox platform.
