Multi-Warehousing explained.

Multi-warehousing refers to the use of several warehouses at different locations. This means that you divide your stock sensibly between different warehouses. When an order is placed, it is packed and shipped by the fulfillment center closest to the customer.

Fulfillment centers are selected based on advantageous shipping zones, reducing the cost and time it takes to deliver a package to your customers.

A multi-warehousing solution makes sense if you want to outgrow your current warehouse, reduce shipping costs, or move closer to important transshipment points.

The benefits of multi-warehousing with everstox.

Benefit from our widely spread fulfillment centers.

Lower transportation costs and times.

Shipping costs and fast delivery are sometimes the most important factors in why a customer decides for or against your business.

By using different warehouses, you can deliver orders from one country or neighboring regions more quickly, e.g. due to the proximity to important freight ports.

That reduces transportation costs and passes these savings on to your customers, allowing you to offer them cheaper or even free shipping options. In addition, you always offer the same customer experience – No matter where your customer is located.

Growth and scalability.

With a multi-warehouse setup, you can scale your business better and more flexibly, especially if your order volumes are growing very quickly.

By distributing your goods to different fulfillment centers, your inventory management is made much easier. To manage your stock, you can implement a warehouse assignment strategy in which the responsibilities of the warehouses are clearly defined.

Reduction of risk.

Default risks are part and parcel of fulfillment. However, you can spread the risk as much as possible by using several warehouses. For example, you can define a fallback warehouse in your warehouse assignment strategy that will process your orders even if another warehouse cannot deliver at the moment.

This way, you can ensure that your customer in Italy still receives their order promptly, even if the nearest warehouse is unable to deliver due to downtime.

Distribution of your inventory as required.

Do you have a higher demand for certain SKUs in Spain? Simply split your stock according to demand.

This means you always have exactly the goods on site that your customers want to order and can be better prepared for inventory planning.

Reduction of the CO2 footprint.

Nowadays, many customers opt for local retailers.

To avoid long-distance transportation, you can be close to your customers with multi-warehousing and process orders and returns locally.

one central software.

One single source of truth.

Individual warehouse management is a thing of the past. Our software gives you all the information about your warehouses and the goods in them at a glance.

This allows you to combat problems such as overstocking or understocking and make your inventory management across all warehouses much easier.

Your data in real-time.

When data from inventory and sales are interlinked, not only are your processes smoother, but your data is also more reliable.

With real-time data, you can accurately track, plan, and manage your inventory for each fulfillment center.

Simple transfer of goods.

Demand for a certain product is very high and your warehouse no longer has it in stock? A fallback warehouse takes over when things get dicey in another one.

To ensure that your goods arrive there safely and quickly, you can easily order and monitor the movement of goods in our software.
