  • Over 250 applications from 35 countries were received in just 10 days.
  • Each project is supported with €20.000.
  • Batch #1 ends with a virtual Demo Day on June 8, 2020.
  • Applications will be reopened for the next round starting today.

Berlin, April 28, 2020 – Future Perfect, the accelerator by the GesundZusammen initiative, announces its first four finalists. After screening 250+ applications that were received in just 10 days, exclamovoizeAncora.ai by Intrepida, and everstox are the finalists of the first batch.

Each team will receive €20.000 (no equity) and will be able to use the resources, products and services of partners such as Amazon Web Services, Stripe, Airbus BizLab and many more free of charge. The winners will additionally participate in a virtual acceleration program for six weeks to focus on product development, user acquisition and possible follow-up financing.

The non-profit initiative GesundZusammen was launched by via (a Global Citizen Foundation company), the wefox Group and finleap as an open ecosystem to develop digital solutions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative’s Future Perfect Accelerator was set up in just three weeks with its Founding Partner TOA, Europe’s largest interdisciplinary technology festival.

The programme is accompanied by mentors and experts such as Rolf Schrömgens (Founder, Trivago), Georg Hauer (General Manager DACH, N26), Matthias Laug (CTO & Co-Founder, Tier Mobility), Benjamin Mateev (Founder, Firefly Impact), Laura González-Estéfani (Founder & CEO, TheVentureCity), and Christian Lindener (Head of Airbus BizLabs).

The first batch will present their projects to the public and investors for possible follow-up financing at a virtual Demo Day on June 8, 2020. Startups, researchers and entrepreneurs could apply for the program until April 17, 2020. In total, 259 start-ups from 35 countries applied for the first batch of the Future Perfect Accelerator within only 10 days.

The four winners at a glance:

  • everstox: The everstox platform enables scalable and data-driven fulfillment services via a network of independent European logistics providers.
  • Ancora.ai by Intrepida: The online platform matches and connects COVID-19 patients to coronavirus clinical trials using AI.
  • voize: A digital language assistant that helps with the documentation of medical records in elderly care. Nurses speak freely into a smartphone and an AI creates the medical records accordingly.
  • exclamo: At Krisenchat.de, children and young adults are automatically directed to a WhatsApp chat with a professional crisis advisor. They can start chatting immediately without having to register or make an appointment.

The Future Perfect Accelerator will also directly open the next application phase. The goal is to continually add new startups to the program and continue to raise funding for them from corporate partners. Currently, at least one more startup can be funded. In the next call applications from the areas of logistics and supply chain as well as digital schooling and education are particularly welcome.

However, the accelerator remains open to applications from all other verticals affected by COVID-19 and its consequences. You can apply here: https://gesund-zusammen.de/de/apply

“With such a tight application deadline, we are overwhelmed by the number and quality of applications. We look forward to working with the finalists in the Future Perfect Accelerator and hope to see promising initial results at the Demo Day in May,” says TOA-founder Niko Woischnik.

“The 250+ applications we received came from the areas of health tech, elderly care, hospitality, marketplaces and communications. Therefore the first batch already covers many challenges of that we face because of the crisis. In the second round, we’d love to see even more input from areas such as supply chain, future cities, and digital education solutions,” says Dr. Florian Resatsch, Chief Build Officer (CBO) finleap.
